CRIME ALERT
On 04/27/08 the Frankfort Police Department took a report regarding a suspicious person. It was reported
that a 10 year old girl was approached by a white female with collar length blond hair driving a small white vehicle.
The unknown female pulled her vehicle up to the girl and asked her if she wanted a lollipop. The girl ran back to
house screaming and immediately notified her mother of the incident. The girl believes that the first two digits of
the license plate were IN and that the car had an oval blue emblem surrounded by a silver frame on the front of the
vehicle. The girl has never seen the vehicle or the unknown female before. The Frankfort Police Department
searched the immediate and surrounding areas, but did not locate the vehicle or the unknown blond female.
Please remember to practice stranger awareness with your children and ask them what they would do in
these types of situations. Remember- a stranger is just a person they do not know. They can look like anyone! If

REMINDERS
The Frankfort Police Department would like to remind residents of actions to take to minimize the risk of
becoming a victim of burglary to motor vehicle. Please remember to remove any valuable items from plain view in
the interior of your vehicle and to lock your vehicle doors. Most of these crimes are crimes of opportunity in which
the offender(s) look for easy access to valuable items. Taking these steps can take away that opportunity and
reduce these types of crimes from being committed. Thank you.
